DETAILS:

National Harbor Marina is located just south of Washington, D.C. on the Potomac River in Oxon Hill, Maryland.  There are 80 floating wet berths ranging from 35' to 70'.  There are also two conrete piers that can dock vessels over 200'.  Located inside the marina is a fuel dock with both gasoline and diesel.  There is also a pumpout station on the fuel dock.  There is 30/50/100 amp single phase electrical services available.

 

LOCATION:

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)is located 7.5 miles from National Harbor Marina with 4 runways ranging from 4,100 ft to 6,855 ft.

 

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION:

Limousine Serives by Reston Limousine.  Local transportation include Metro Bus, Metro Rail, National Harbor Circulator.

 

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:

National Harbor is home to the new MGM Resort and Casino, which has a wide variety of shops and restaurants, casino floor, entertainment, and much more.  National Harbor also is home to over 30 restaurants and Tanger Outlets.  National Harbor Marina, located just outside of Washington, D.C., is accessibile to many historical sites and museums such as Mt. Vernon, Old Town Alexandria, and Georgetown.  The Smithsonian is a short taxi or Metro Rail ride away where there are dozens of monuments and museums, and countless shops and restaurants.

 

LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR ONBOARD TENDERS AND TOYS:

All vessels must obey No Wake Zones.  There is a large No Wake Zone from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge (just North of NHM) into the Washington D.C. Channel.

 

REPAIR SERVICES AND DRYDOCKS:

There are no on-site repair facilities. A variety of service contractors are permitted into the marina with proper insurance.

 

Local Grocery Stores include:  Potomac Gormet (Onsite at National Harbor), Safeway  (3.9 mi), Harris Teeter (4.7 mi), Whole Foods (5.5 mi), Costco (8 mi), Wegman's (11 mi)

 

PILOTAGE REGULATIONS:

A recreational vessel that is both less than 200 ft in overall length and has less than a 12 foot draft many not be required to employ a licensed pilot.
